FREE Computer Classes
Need Computer Skills? Take Free Computer Classes at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Library
The DC Public Library's Free Computer Class Program is designed to provide introductory computer instruction and hands-on training to adult library customers. The objectives are to reduce the intimidation factors surrounding the technology and to increase a knowledgeable use of computers, both in the Library and in the job market.
CUSTOMER ATTENDANCE: WALK-IN BASIS (No registration required, except where indicated)
The majority of our scheduled computer classes are currently offered on a WALK-IN BASIS. Seats will be filled on a first-come, space available basis. We highly recommend that you arrive on time for the classes you wish to attend.
One or more of our classes may require online registration. These classes will contain a register link within the information balloon when you click the class title. Click the register link in the information balloon to initiate your registration for that particular class.
If you are late, you may be admitted to the Computer Lab, but it is with the understanding that the Trainer will not be repeating covered material. This would be unfair to those who arrived on time. Also, the Trainer would then not be able to cover the entire skill set for that class. Please be on time!
Please consult the current month’s Computer Class Calendar brochure and this Web page in order to choose the classes you wish to attend on a walk-in basis.
Please make sure you have attended the prerequisite courses before deciding to show up for a class.
