Support Your Library

Why Your Support Is Needed:
For more than a century, the District of Columbia Public Library has been one of the city's most valued assets, sustaining and improving the quality of life and education. Private support makes the difference between what the Library would provide if it relied solely on tax revenue, and the excellent programs and services it does provide for our city. Donated time and money enable the Library to purchase additional books, upgrade and replace equipment and expand our programming for children.

Make a donation:
The District of Columbia Public Library Foundation (DCPL Foundation) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that raises private funds to support and enhance library resources, programs, and branches. Contributions can be made via mail or online at the Foundation’s website: www.dcplfoundation.org, or by selecting the logo on this page.

Contributions by mail should be sent to:
      DC Public Library Foundation
      901 G Street, NW  #400
      Washington DC  20001

Please note that in addition to administering a host of funds to support library programming, the Foundation is the fiduciary agent for the Georgetown Recovery and Restoration Fund. For further information please call Anna Velazco at (202) 727-4943.

Other Donations:
You can also support your Library by joining the Friends of the Library or by Donating Materials.
