Homebound Services

Room: 215 (2nd Floor, Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library)
Telephone: (202) 727-2142 Services for the Homebound

Patrons who are unable to visit the library due to a physical or mental limitation have access to the library's collection through Library Services to At Home Readers (L-STAR) also know as 'Books by Mail.'  Once registered, patrons will receive library items through the mail in a reusable mailing bag with the library covering the cost of postage.

The application for the service may be downloaded: Application for Home Services.  After you download the application, please print it, fill out the top half and have your doctor or otherwise qualified competent authority fill out and sign the bottom. After you have completed the application send it to:
